Shareefa Chaudhury (Village head) breaches in the canal water and changes its direction for his selfish interest. It affects the peasants of the village. Shareefa, one of the peasants takes up the matter to the Canal Department and attempts to lodge a complaint against the Chaudhury, but fails to do that. An official with the Canal Department categorically states that a lone complaint by Shareefa won't prove the fact that Chaudhury is blocking the water for his own benefit. Shareefa mobilises other peasants to stage a protest against the Chaudhury. In the meanwhile, Chaudhury's hatchet men report it to him about the anger brewing up against him. Its not yet late Mehak, a girl, expresses her desire for studies to her mother and she wants to go to school like her brother. But her mother strongly objects to that saying that girls are not allowed to go to school. Incidentally, one day Mehak sees a photo of Baji Sakeena, daughter of a village woman in a newspaper who has become a doctor. She shows it to her mother. It inspires Mehak's mother, she goes and buys book for her daughter and tells her that she would attend the school, next day. Story and Art by Ashraf Meerza, Architect.

Tit for Tat Mahrooh, a young college going girl, whenever she comes out to go to her college, boys tease her. A woman in her neighbour witnesses that and lies to her father that Mahrooh dates with the boys. Reacting to that, Mahrooh's father prohibits her daughter for going to college. Next day, the same woman's daughter is teased by the boys in her way to school. Story and Art by Urooj Hayee, Student

Who is to blame ? A child goes late to the school because his bike got punctured on the way. The teacher does not believe him and punishes him in front of the class and uses abusive language. The child narrates this to his mother but she justifies the teacher's act and holds her ward responsible for it. Who's Offence Ahmed, as a male has all the right to date with a girl but puts all restrictions on his sister. One day, when she is going out to fetch water, Ahmed warns her not to talk to anyone otherwise she had to face the repercussions. While on her way back, she stops to tell the way to a stranger. One of the villagers happens to see that and informs it to Ahmed by distorting all the facts. Infuriated at that, Ahmed attacks his sister and kills her in the name of 'honour'. Courage A girl desires to get enrolled in a school and her parents respond in positive. Daily, her father takes her to the school and brings her back to home. After her schooling, when she goes to college she is teased by the boys on her way. Struggling through such humiliations, she continues her education. As an outcome of her perseverance, she completes her education and gets a good job. Now she is financially strong taking care of her parents. Story and Art by Asifa Bashir, Pakistan.

Whirlpool Uzma, a young girl is left at lurch when her father divorces her mother. Her aunt takes her to the city. Happily, she accompanies her aunt hoping that she would be enrolled in a school. But the aunt treats her like a maid. Later, she gets her a job of domestic maid in the neighbour. Whatever she gets as a wage she gives it to her aunt. It increases the greed of her aunt, now she wants to get her son married to Uzma. So that she can double up as maid and earning member of the family. Pushed to such pitiable condition, Uzma asks her when she would be able to live a life of her own. Story and Art by Momina Dar, Pakistan

Listen to me A boy tries to talk to his father but he rebukes, without even listening to him. Even he attempts to speak to his mother but she does the same. Then, he requests his teacher to listen to him but he thrashes him without hearing to him. In his way back to home at a fit of rage he kicks off a cat reacting to the treatment meted out to him by his parents and teacher. Story and Art by: Farah Malik, Activist

Hanging at lurch A young man migrates to a big city from his village with a desire to earn money and marry a rich girl. After earning good money, he proposes a girl for marriage. Prior to the marriage, she makes a visit to his house and refuses to marry him as he belongs to village. Then, the young man regrets for wasting three years in city and leaving his village.

Negligence Father does not want his daughter to continue her studies as he thinks that primary education is too enough for a girl. One day when father suffers from cough he takes out one bottle, which he thinks to be a cough syrup. Suddenly the daughter sees and stops her father and says that the bottle contained poison but not the cough syrup. Father realises his mistake and assures her to continue studies.
