Rumour
One night in Mullaitivu, two thieves make an attempt to commit robbery at Karan’s house. Seeing a girl alone in the house, they want to gag her voice by forcing a cloth into her mouth. The scuffle wakes up the grandmother and scares the thieves away before anything happens. Next day, the neighbours spread a rumour that the thieves raped the girl. Nobody is ready to hear the truth. The girl says that the rumour had made her life difficult.
