End of Patriarchy
The father was a brick kiln owner but an habitual drunkard. As the father spent the entire money on drinks so on daughter’s meagre income the household was run. Even then, the father demanded more money from the mother for his drinks. Mother committed suicide compelled by adverse circumstances. Grim and shocked daughter decides to leave the house with her brother.
