Basheer Ahamed
A self-taught artist, Basheer completed his degree in Economics and joined a Chennai based magazine as designer and illustrator in 1981. He later set up his own studio. Since then he has designed-and illustrated many books and magazines. He has been working with World Comics since September 1997. He is co-author of the Tamil version of the comics manual. He is currently involved in the production of a publication called "Mazhai - Rain".

Rosiamliana Ralte
Mizoram based artist, has participated in various solo and group exhibition. He is an art teacher by profession. He worked local resource person in the workshops organized by WCI.

Thomas Sundi
Jharkhand based cartoonist, associated with local newspaper. A local resource person in WCI workshop. He is contributing since 1997 for Comics Wall Poster “Sain-Maskal” published by JOHAR organization.

Babita (Chaibasa, Jharkhand) - An activist with a small organization in Jharkhand, Babita
attended some workshops of World Comics before being trained as a trainer. She has organised 3-4 workshops in Jharkhand, where she has worked as a co-trainer.

Champalal Hiran Khera, Madhya Pradesh)- He is an activist with World Comics India and attended many workshops of writng and comics. With Shiv Narayan Gaur, comics wallposter called ‘AWAAZ’. It is based on organic farming. After this, he has trained many girls and ladies as trainers. With farmers and vegetable vendors, he made a series of wall posters. He has also conducted many workshops. |

Elizabeth (Dimapur, Nagaland)- Like Daniel, Elizabeth too was an activist with AIDA. After
being trained as a trainer, she has organised workshops for women ‘self help’ groups in Nagaland |
Hansaram (Barmer, Rajasthan)- As a social activist in a small organization of Barmer, Hansaram participated in World Comics workshop for the first time in 2005. He showed interest in it and was eventually trained as a trainer. He has produced many wall posters on ‘child marriages’ and ‘girl child’ rights. Hansaram also trained the youth and children of his area about this concept of Grassroots Comics. This trainer of ours is presently running independent comic workshops in different parts of Rajasthan.

John ( Madurai, Tamil Nadu)- John was trained in several workshops, organised by World Comics in Tamil Nadu. Presently, he is working as an art teacher in a school and promoting Grassroots comics in nearby villages through NGO’s. |
Lakhindra Nayak (Sarai Kela, Jharkhand) - He attended a workshop in 2003 in Jharkhand as a participant. His comics named ‘Guthkha’, which was based on a social message gained appreciation. This trainer of ours has been a part of around 36 workshops in different states. |
Manish (Jodhpur, Rajasthan) - This Fine Arts graduate from School of Arts, Jaipur, attended a workshop, organised by Oxfam and World Comics on the issue of violence against women. After attending 4-5 workshops, he was trained as a trainer in 2006. Presently, Manish has been running independent workshops in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Nandeshu (Orissa)- He has organised workshops in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Jharkhand as a co-trainer.

Papiya (Kolkata, West Bengal)- She was working as a teacher in one of the centers of DAS (Development Activist Society), when she attended the a World Comics workshop for the first time in 2006, during ‘Save The Children’ campaign in Kolkata. After this, she was trained as a trainer at TOT, in Bhopal in 2006 itself.In December 2006, she organised an independent workshop as a trainer. |

Rahul is an activist working for an organisation in Bhagalpur in Bihar. He has successfully conducted many comics workshops with the fisherman’s community and other social groups. Through his comics and posters, he has voiced his support for other organisations and movements.

Reena Daniel ( Dimapur, Nagaland)- She was an activist with an organization called AIDA in Dimapur, Nagaland. After attending some World Comics workshops, she was being trained as a trainer. She has organised independent workshops for women ‘self-help’ groups. She has made many wall posters herself. |
Runa (Kolkata, West Bengal)- Runa is associated with a Kolkata based organization called CINI-ASHA, which deals mainly with children’s’ issues. She was a co-ordinator during a World Comics workshop organised with CINI-ASHA on the issue of ‘parenting’. After this, she was trained as a trainer at a TOT workshop in Goa. Runa did a few workshops with the kids of slums.

Tarun Bose (Delhi) - He is a senior development journalist. Mr.Bose carries vast experience in media and development networks. Apart from being a trainer in countless workshops, Tarun Bose is also a Board Member of World Comics India.

Tawna (Aizwal, Mizoram)- After attending several workshops in Mizoram, he liked the idea of Grassroots Comics idea. After finishing his schooling, he was trained as a trainer. He has conducted two independent workshops in Serchipp district of Mizoram.

Sunder Mohan lives in Jaduguda, Jharkhand, a place of uranium source in India. He has made many comics wall posters on the radiation effects on local tribals in his village. He loves to draw comics whenever he gets time from his football practice.

Suresh (Sudhendra) Jaipal is an activist living in a small village named Anti in Barmer, Western Rajasthan. Suresh has made many comics wall posters on girl child right and Dalit issues. He is also one of the founder members of Barmer Comics Forum.
